Oregon Beef Company was founded in 1979 by James Wyzard JR as a full service USDA Custom, Processing and Wholesale Distributing meat plant. In 1983, current plant manager Tom Jones was added to the staff of professional meat handlers. In 1987 current owner Stann Dmytryk was added to the staff. In March of 1993, Stann as a memeber of HDD Incorporated purchased Oregon Beef Company from Wyzard. Young and aggressive , Oregon Beef Expanded to become Central Oregon's largest HRI (Hotel, Restaurant & Institutions) distributor. Stann, Tom & crew took the wheel to expand growth in the retail meat sales as well.
At this time Oregon Beef is still a large distributor of Beef, Pork, Poultry, Cheese, Potato products, Fish & Oils. Serving Bend, Redmond, Madras, Prineville, Sisters, La Pine, Sunriver & Warm Springs. The retail parts of the business have grown dramatically that a new retail display room has been added in 2023 to celebrate 30 years.
